La Luna Productions – 2017 Procirep Award
La Ville Lumière by Pascal Tessaud (France – 2012)
For more than 20 years, the short films produced by La Luna Productions have been part of an effort to discover and support young filmmakers. We have created a program that highlights the diversity of these works throughout the years: many successful films, one receiving an Oscar nomination, as well as other more peculiar films that we also like for their audacity or originality.
Always focused on storytelling, each film explores cinema in its own touching way, revealing a sensitive and engaging look at the world around us: a young woman lets her last memories, regrets and moments of happiness roam free as her life slips away; an angry cry against authority and contempt, against social injustice in the workplace; a portrait of a young woman who acts as the independent witness of a new world; an escape into a surrealist decor of two men adrift facing a cynical world… as well as many other films that we encountered, enjoyed and that remain in our memories.
