To simply contact the registered filmmakers, you will only need a valid  Shortfilmwire+ subscription that gives you access to the sales, producers and directors contact details of each film.
  • Check the Participants list to prepare and schedule your meetings. A valid  Shortfilmwire+ subscription is needed before the event to get access to contact details or to messaging.
  • Check our Events listing that will be published from January. New events will be published every week before the event starts. Events that require registration will be published from 20 January.
  • Informal networking takes place daily at our Meet&Greets, drinks and parties.
  • Note that the Short Film Market is equipped with free Wi-Fi and places where you can work while being on place.

If you search for films

Before visiting the Short Film Market:

  • Browse the Market Catalogue and use the search options to identify films you'd like to see (extended search options are available with a valid Shortfilmwire+ subscritpion).
  • Use your professional Shortfilmwire account to save film lists of the films you plan to watch. Your film lists will then be directly accessible to watch as soon as you withdraw your accreditation on place, but only if you have an active Shortfilmwire+ subscription. Then, you may watch the films at the Videolibrary on place at your Hotel or later back home or at your office. The films will stay available to watch until the end of the year.
  • You will also find the Market screenings program in our Events listing.Market Screenings are a great opportunity to see the latest productions on offer from distributors or film agencies. You can catch them on the big screen and meet their representatives.
  • Identify the exhibitors and their film catalogue under  the Delegations tab. Arrange meetings with exhibitors who have a stand or an online delegation. They can give advice, key info, and show their catalogue of films.
  • With an active Shortfilmwire+ subscription, you can easily get in touch with participants and organisations trough our messaging system that lets you schedule meeting or even organize video conferences.

When you are at the Short Film Market :

  • Upon arrival pick up your accreditation at the Industry Reception Office. A Market Guide will be given to you.
  • Go directly to the Short Film Market and book a slot at the Videolibrary on place (bookings have to be made one day in advance, for a maximum of 2 hours). Remember to have your Shortfilmwire Login Information with you. Note that you will need an active Shortfilmwire+ subscription to watch the films of the Market catalogue.
  • Your Short Film Market accreditation will of course give you entrance to all Festival screenings (special screenings excluded).

After your stay:

Continue viewing films on our Market Catalogue, where your film playlists and comments remain. Please note that to get access to this service, you will need an active Shortfilmwire+ subscription.

If you are distributing or promoting films

Before visiting the Short Film Market:

  • Check our Participants list regularly. It is easily possible to identify short film buyers. An active Shortfilmwire+ subscription will give you access to their contact details and their acquisition profile.
  • From the participants list, create/update your target groups that you will fin under the 'My Networks' tab of your Shortfilmwire account. Then send out a message with the reference numbers (starting with I or N) of your films. An active Shortfilmwire+ subscription is needed to access this services.
  • Schedule your meetings in advance by contacting the MEDIA Rendez-vous secretariat (starting in January).
  • Carefully consult our Events listing for buyers meetings you do not want to miss, or to register to our B2B meetings.

At the Short Film Market:

  • Upon arrival pick up your accreditation at the Industry Reception Office. A Market Guide will be given to you.
  • Meet the people you regularly do business with, take new contacts, speak with festival programmers and gather knowledge on current market trends.
  • Informal networking takes place daily at our Meet&Greets, drinks and parties.

After your stay:

Under your Shortfilmwire account, under the 'My Films' tab, see who watched your films and send follow-up messages when appropriate. This is a free service.

If you are producing or developing new projects

Before visiting the Short Film Market:

  • Mark down the Participants you'd like to meet and save them in your Contact lsits you will find under the 'My Networks' tab of your Shortfilmwire account.
  • If you seriously plan to enter coproductions, look at the Book of Projects selected at Euro Connection and send your registration form to access the pitching sessions and attend the meetings.
  • Arrange meetings with exhibitors, i.e film and media orgranisation holding a stand under the 'Delegations' tab where you will be able to collect information on opportunities with major festivals, companies, organisations, funds and resources available in different regions or countries. To get access to messaging and contact details, you will need an active  Shortfilmwire+ subscription.
  • Schedule your meetings in advance by contacting the MEDIA Rendez-vous secretariat (starting in January).

When you are in Clermont-Ferrand:

  • Upon arrival pick up your accreditation at the Industry Reception Office. A Market guide will be given to you.
  • Use the Media Rendez-Vous area to meet with the filmmakers, industry delegates and other producers you plan to meet.
  • Visit the booths and their representatives from several countries to collect valuable informations, gain visibility for your current films and get some feedback on your new projects.
  • Informal networking takes place daily at our Meet&Greets, drinks and parties.
