Swedish restrospective
A forest of talent
“Love and war” by Fredrik Emilson (Sweden, 2006)
Swedish cinema is in great shape: series, detective stories, feature films, documentaries and short films enjoy a great reputation on the international scene.
In Clermont-Ferrand, we’ve presented the works of giants like Jonas Odellor Jens Assur for some years now. Our audience also had the chance to see a focus on the very creative Jens Jonsson in 2006. This year’s focus will of course give us a chance to catch up with some films from those landmark filmmakers, and to enjoy some Roy Andersson for good measure. But this time, we’ll also invite you to explore this vast forest of new talents: the scope of Sweden’s creative diversity will be on display in 6 programmes of films, which, for the most part, will be playing at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival for the first time.
