Her research on animated documentary resulted in a book entitled Animated Documentary, a New Way to Express, which was awarded “Best Persian book on film” of 2010 by the Iranian House of Cinema.
She has made six documentaries and won more than 50 international awards.
Her movies have been screened in more than 100 festivals all around the world and broadcast on more than fifteen TV channels.
Her short film Cyanosis has received the Prize of the Best short documentary in Play Doc Festival in Spain (2009).
The mainfocus of her documentaries is the liberating power of art.
She makes documentaries about outsider artists in Iran, especially women who try to have a voice through art with having any formal education in art and whose life circumstances make it very unlikely that they become artists.
